Scope: Schematic Design, Preliminary Modelling, Planting, Irrigation, and Site Amenities. Feasibility study of the proposed site and evaluating existing structures for possible repurposed use in the design of the new MTC. Gathering community input through surveys and public meetings. Preparing preliminary site plans options, conceptual schematic elevation drawings, and project development cost estimates for inclusion in a competitive WSDOT Regional Mobility Grant application

Description: Located in downtown Moses Lake, the MTC was designed as a transportation hub for the community and outlying regional destinations. The facility serves as a hub for a range of transportation means ranging from buses to bicycles. The site was designed to accommodate several buses and other vehicles simultaneously. The landscape embraces the character of the overall region; incorporating columnar basalt, rock mulches, and drought tolerant plants and perennial grasses. Long term maintenance and resource conservation was a major design team goal; ensuring landscape operating costs were reduced to the greatest extent.
